Nearly 80 sheriffs, detention professionals, and industry partners gathered at TopGolf Omaha before the 2026 National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) Annual Conference.
The 2026 National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) Annual Conference brought law enforcement leaders from across the country to Omaha, Nebraska, and before the conference officially began, JailGeek had the privilege of hosting nearly 80 sheriffs, executive directors of state sheriffs’ associations, detention professionals, industry partners, and their families for an evening of networking at TopGolf Omaha.
Held on June 7, the event provided an opportunity for attendees to reconnect with longtime colleagues, build new relationships, and strengthen partnerships before a successful week at the National Sheriffs’ Association Annual Conference. Guests enjoyed dinner, golf, and an evening centered around collaboration, conversation, and supporting the law enforcement community.
One of the highlights of the evening was welcoming Erik Estrada, best known for portraying Officer Frank “Ponch” Poncherello on the iconic television series CHiPs. While millions recognize Erik for his role as a California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer, his commitment to supporting law enforcement extends well beyond television. Throughout his career, he has served as a reserve police officer, worked as an investigator supporting the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force in Virginia, and has dedicated countless hours to child safety initiatives and law enforcement outreach programs across the country.
Throughout the evening, Erik generously spent time with attendees and their families, taking photographs, sharing stories, and engaging with sheriffs and law enforcement leaders from across the nation. His genuine appreciation for the profession helped create an atmosphere that made the event both memorable and meaningful.
The evening would not have been possible without the tremendous support of Carmen Green, Executive Director of the California State Sheriffs’ Association, whose partnership and coordination were instrumental in bringing the event together. We sincerely appreciate Carmen’s leadership, friendship, and everything she did to help make the evening such a success.
In his welcoming remarks, JailGeek CEO Joe Summerill reflected on the importance of building relationships throughout the law enforcement community.
“It’s our privilege to bring together the leaders who dedicate their careers to serving and protecting communities across our country. At JailGeek, we believe the strongest partnerships begin with meaningful conversations, and opportunities like this allow us to connect beyond the conference floor while continuing to learn how we can better serve the agencies that place their trust in us.”
Following the TopGolf networking event, the JailGeek team participated in the National Sheriffs’ Association Annual Conference from June 8–11, welcoming attendees to Booth #1633 throughout the week.
The conference provided an outstanding opportunity to reconnect with longtime partners while introducing new agencies to JailGeek’s FairRate™ and Core+™ platforms. Throughout the week, our team met with sheriffs, jail administrators, detention professionals, county officials, and association leaders from across the country to discuss federal detention reimbursement, cost analysis, and strategies for ensuring facilities receive fair and defensible reimbursement under their Intergovernmental Agreements (IGAs).
Visitors to Booth #1633 also had the opportunity to take home several conference-exclusive items created specifically for this year’s event, including custom-engraved National Sheriffs’ Association whiskey bottles, commemorative challenge coins, embroidered patches, and other JailGeek promotional items. These limited-edition items quickly became favorites among attendees and served as conversation starters throughout the conference.
Most importantly, we want to thank everyone who attended our TopGolf networking event, visited Booth #1633, or simply stopped by to introduce themselves during the week. Every conversation, every new connection, and every opportunity to reconnect with existing partners reinforces our commitment to helping sheriffs’ offices and detention facilities maximize federal detention reimbursement through innovative technology, meaningful partnerships, and industry-leading expertise.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to the National Sheriffs’ Association for hosting another outstanding Annual Conference and creating an environment where law enforcement leaders from across the country can collaborate, exchange ideas, and strengthen the profession.
As we look ahead to the remainder of 2026, including the upcoming North Carolina Sheriffs’ Association Annual Conference, we look forward to continuing these conversations, building new relationships, and supporting agencies nationwide.
